1. On the 27th, a warship
of the Omaha class left this port for the Pacific.
2. On the same day, two
single-funnel destroyers, one light cruiser, and one 10,000 ton class
transport were anchored in
Balboa harbor.
3. On the 26th, one
American destroyer and two submarines were anchored in the harbor at Cristobal.
4. From the 22nd until the
27th, four American and four British merchant vessels passed through the Canal
bound for the Pacific (one of the British vessels was of the 14,000 ton class).
Six American merchant vessels, one American tanker, and one Netherlands cargo
ship passed through the Canal in the direction of the Atlantic.
