Supermom by Molly Barnes

Supermom *Carlar Blackman, 23, is not your typical single mother. Not only does she work full-time at UNC Hospital's gastrointestinal research labs, go to school full-time and is preparing to graduate with a degree in International Studies this May, she finds time to raise a beautiful two year old daughter named Rayne. Rayne's father lives in Emerald Isle and has just begun to send child support about three months ago. Although seemingly impossible, Carlar said she cannot imagine the alternative. Rayne, albeit requiring immense energy and time, gives Carlar the strength and love she needs to accomplish all she does. Hopefully this story will illustrate her struggles as well as her fulfillment.
