several things

on video cameras: i have one that we can use in my lab in Manning. i've
also asked david morrica and eric farmer who used the camera this summer
in zimbabwe if they would be willing to give a workshop/class on their
experiences with the camera and how to use it well. we can do this during
class time or outside depending on the amount of interest. so think about
it and let me know on tuesday.

on projects: i just ran into several things that might be of interest to
various projects as source material. at the state history museum, i heard
a tape of etta baker doing john henry. upstairs they have up a show about
plantation life that might be useful to the african-american authors
folks. and our own Kevin O'Kelly reviewed the recent film on NC native and
native-american activist Eddie Hatcher. the film to be show very late at
night on wunc-tv. Kevin's review is in today's chapel hill news.
