Ted Nelson and Xanadu in the news



I added links about Ted Nelson, Xanadu, Doug Engelbart, etc to our
syllabus on the August 26 date. There is much there to educate and
entertain you including a famous 1995 expose of Xanadu in Wired and
Nelson's response. This is not required reading, but I think you will
benefit from exposure to at least some of it.
But WAIT! there's more! Within hours of our class yesterday, Ted Nelson
speaking at the O'Reilly Open Source Conference released the source code
to all of Xanadu (calling it Udanax). This has given birth to an instant
