SafeNet

One thing about SafeNet... as an ISP, not a user-end program, it
would work better for parents who don't want to have to watch their
children constantly when they are on the web. It would be an ISP of
convenience for people whose beliefs coincide with or approach those of
the management of SafeNet... and for people who would rather turn the
responsibility of monitering their kids' internet usage over to someone
else.

It would prevent the whole "child smarter than parents hacks
NetNanny" thing. (I've seen hacks for NetNanny, etc. They're supposedly
quite simple...)

As for the legality... as long as consumers have the choice to
take a different ISP, there should be no problem. However, as in the case
of many things in this nation, consumer demand often decides legality...

As a note, though... it would really suck if you were stuck out in
the middle of nowhere and your *only* local ISP was SafeNet. Erg.
