Don't get too depressed. We recently finished a study of how people read on
the Web, and the clear conclusion is that pages have to be written the way
you are taught in journalism school. Trials where a professional journalist
rewrote pages improved measured usability by between 27% and 58%.

Thus, there will probably be plenty of job oportunities for new journalism
graduates if they are willing to write for the Web and not just for
traditional media.
