SUR Grant database server summary

ibiblio has two main production database servers, both obtained via SUR Grant assistance:

  • IBM eServer xSeries 366
    • DNS name: mysql.ibiblio.org
    • runs RHEL3 with MySQL 4.0.27
    • approx. 390 active databases, including Groklaw and parts of Gutenberg
  • IBM eServer 326m (dual dual-core Opterons @ 2.6 GHz)
    • DNS name: mysql2.ibiblio.org
    • runs RHEL4 x86_64 with MySQL 4.0.27 (x86_64)
    • approx. 280 active databases, including all of docsouth
