Many people have suggested that our best friends consider us an acquaintance, but no matter. There's enough bandwidth-wasting room for all of us in the Web, for good or evil. On this page, we'll point you in the direction of any number of the wide variety of folks we've come to know, both here in the Greater Durham Metroplex as well as in the virtual world at large.
- Leading off is Aaron the Aardvark's Termite Mound. Aaron's knocked himself out designing a very nice site with some interesting links. Beware! To fully appreciate the multi-layered content of his page, you'll need to bite the bullet and load that copy of Netscape 2.x - otherwise you'll miss some of the goodies he has lurking in those frames things.
- Speaking of Aaron, his wife-type person, Miz Mollie-O has the beginnings of an interesting page going. Stop on in and let her know how you found her page.
- Want the most complete resource guide to police-related sites in North Carolina? Look into Eric Weaver's Home Page. You'll also find links "for the responsible gun owner" there as well. Some day, he'll get his fun stuff section online...
- You say you have an unshakable feeling that you're being watched, your every move tracked, cataloged and graded? Well, you're not alone! Check into the Paranoia page for a quick ID check and a few dozen more reasons to feel nervous in both your real and virtual lives.
- A right incredible resource for news and information on sustainable agriculture is maintained over in Chapel Hill by Lawrence London. Open his Organic Agriculture and Permaculture page or his mirror site and get some of that rich, good earth under your fingernails and learn how to bring nature's fresh bounty to your table without the use of destructive chemicals.
- Get your minimum daily requirement of cheez over at Vamsi Tadepalli's Another Cheez Shop on the Web. He's just a high school wanker, so don't look for wine with it, but it's a fun link anyway. (So there, Vamsi! We finally linked yerself...)
- As folks on HOGnet get their pages online, we'll list them here. For starters, enter Khan's The Jungle or U-Man's Salutations to U-Man's Rightful Place.
- For those of you unfamiliar with the HOG (or our hangout, the north shore of cyberspace), suffice it to say that it is a small corner populated by some of the best and brightest in the dial-up BBS world. HOGnet (The "Heart of Gold" Network) itself is a protocol-independent mail and news feed with nodes across North America and is coming to an internet jack near you RSN!
- A couple of new, tastefully-done HOG homepages are now up: Nancy and Jennifer's McCoy Homepage is simple and elegant with some nice magickal links. Scott Hicks has his Lazarus Home Page up, too. These HOGs hail from Grand Prairie TX (yeah, we had to get out the mapbook, too!).
- I Think We're All Bozos on This Bus Department: The Firesign Theatre is alive and well and well documented at the link referenced here. Meet the folks who have taken a corner or two of their pages in this section:
- Mt. Ritter, from Niles Ritter. He has some pretty nifty space-oriented links from his perch at the JPL as well.
- Richard ("Mudhead") Arnold's It's Just This Chromium Switch Here has dozens of links, ranging in taste from music (underground to classical to environmental) to history, mythology and religion (with a heapin' helpin' of Firesignia, of course!). His "Proof That There Are Too Damn Many Web Pages" section is worth the visit.
- Another Home Page is maintained (with an excellent attitude) by Jamie Schrumpf is graced with several Ralph Steadman works, plus a slew of links, most of which are actually worth visiting.
- Hot, Raw WWW Action! is Carl (HasNoName) Stone's collection of eclectic and sometimes puzzling links is worth the price of bookmarking his page! (And don't let the page title throw you...)
- Sir Will's Home Page is a great site for MUSH info and Firesign material.
Have we overlooked the fact that you maintain a Web presence? Drop us an Email and we'll lash a link into this Page in a New York Minute!
