General comment
===============

*DON'T* use these versions if you just want a troublefree Prolog system.
Versions in this directory are there to fix specific user's needs for
users prepared to hit an installation or operational problem. It is also
the place where I will put versions with many nice features that aren't
tested too well.

On the other hand, if you have nice complicated Prolog programs that
used to run on older versions, I'd be glad if you tried to run them on
the latest alpha-version and inform me if anything that used to work
doesn't work any longer.

Please report any problem to prolog-bugs@swi.psy.uva.nl or
jan@swi.psy.uva.nl.

TCP.TGZ
=======

Currently unsupported TCP/IP package contributed by Gordon Streeter.
Normally, I would advice the usage of XPCE for TCP/IP support, but if
you don't want a GUI, this package may be an alternative.

Please bear in mind Gordon has just written it to complete his work, not
to contribute a ready-to-use package. One day this will be better
integrated. Right now, I have more urgent things to do.
