Begin4 Title: bm Version: 1.0 Entered-date: 2001-09-05 Description: 'bm' is a Boot Manager for x86 computers. It uses BIOS to load an initial loader of the selected OS. It might be useful for those who have many bootable partitions on the computer. It permits to get rid of 'BIOS=0x8?' option in 'lilo.conf' when booting Linux NOT from the first disk. The relevant patch to 'lilo' (but only for lba32 mode) has been included. After installation 'bm' occupies Master Boot Records (MBRs) of the disk and 1 additional block. Being invoked during boot process 'bm' displays menu (based on the partition table of the loaded MBR), and user may select OS or transfer control to the next MBR of the current disk or to the first MBR of the next disk (thus repeating the process). 'bm' silently boots the OS selected at previous boot if menu is NOT invoked by the user.
