Nothing that I saw in the wikipedia article mentioned using AI to design the chip from top to bottom - there is always a human driver involved. Overall, EDA is mostly about automation of boring tasks so that designers can focus on function, reliability, performance, and other more useful problems. There are thousands of examples of similar advances in technology, such as linotype machines, which allowed a smaller number of operators to typeset a newspaper. Are you saying that all of the bytes go out anyway? Another possibility is that years ago, some people couldn't read HTML because their antique mail program couldn't interpret it. I read about a dozen mailing lists. None of them refuse HTML. Some low-traffic lists allow 5 MB attachments. Has the HTML problem gone away? Wasn't a problem with radio. An OT could give an endless organ recital (not music - problems of old age) without being truncated.
