Subject: New address here
I have been having a great deal of trouble accessing the provider here
and consequently am moving on to the powerup.com. system.
mkelly@powerup.com.au
will find me. (Hopefully!)
The dialix system was OK except it was a shoestring server with
way too few lines. They aim at 8-10 users / line! You can imagine
the chaos at school holiday time.
Just amend your address book.

Hi Rich,
Nice to see you again last night on 7050!
I have a Allied Knight Kit T-150a transmitter that I would like to
try out, but haven't heard any AM activity. 7090 is supposed to be
a AM hangout. If you would like, we could set up a sked.
Let me know.
My Glowbug projects in the works are:
1. 3 tube rcvr
2. 6AQ5 xtal osc. transmitter.
3. 2 tube electronic keyer.
Fun!

Guys:
Change the AM frequency listed below to *7290* !!!! 7090 is a CW only
frequency in the USA.

Today about 1900 GMT worked N8OHC in Ohio and AI9L in Illinois
around 28060 khz. Been getting a few beacons here and there between
28200 and 28300. Looks like my HW-9 still works on 10 meters...about 2-1/2
watts out to a Butternut HF-6V vertical ground mounted.
Called CQ on 29 Mhz a few times with a 35 watt Elmac AF-67. No replies
at all here.

Eric,
Didn't see if you got the info you needed. If not, from my RCA Xmit
Tube Manual, TT-5, 1962, 801A:
Power triode used full power for AF or RF to 60 Mhz, reduced power to
120Mhz.
for Class B or C:
fil E 7.5 v @ 1.25 a.
amp factor 8
Max CCS DC plate E 600 v
Max-signal DC plate I 70 ma
Max sig input 42 w
plate diss 20 w
for class C operation: DC grid E -200 v
May be operated vertically with pins down or horizontally with pins 1
and 4 in a vertical plane. Plate shows no color at max CCS ratings.
