I think I'll spring for the $11 to get a "good" transformer from
AES in the next few days, then build up my regen and try these
different transformers in there. Should provide some interesting
results, with the AES "good" transformer as a "golden standard"
for comparative purposes.

Subject: More Stuff FS
Hi Gang,
Two more items that need more attention than I can give them:
1. I have a nice working Hammarlund HQ-170 receiver. I restored this piece
to electrical working condition and put the proper knobs on it. It needed a
meter and so it got that. What it needs is a little repair work to the trim
ring around the front panel. The paint on the plastic lettering on the
front panel is red, not silver. I've been told that the ractory did this on
a few units. Why I don't know. With a little effort you could repaint
silver, provided your hand is steadier than mine. I have the paint for the
trim ring, and a manual (170/170a Service manual-150+pages). This is a good
working receiver that still needs some finishing work done to it. Please
find a good home for it. $150 plus some help with the shipping.
2 I have a TEK scope camera. Model C-5A. This is a working camera and it
uses Polaroid film. It doesn't fit my 'scope and I'm not sure what scope it
fits (Stan Griffiths, your phone is ringing). It has a flash intensity
control and a small door to view the scope through. This is what I know
about this unit. $25.00 shipped to anywhere in the lower 48 states.
That's it for the moment. I could use some info on a Heath SS9000 if
anyone knows anything about it. I have a chance to buy one (what for!?) and
would like to know what I should be paying. Thanks gang.
