Hi gang--

Having just joined the Glowbugs list, I wanted to make sure I had the drill
right and was in fact getting in. So if I get this message back, well, I
guess it worked.

And...that being the case, I wanted to ask the group if anyone in the group
had or used the Visio product to draw schematics. It's the only draw/CAD
product I've ever seen that included "canned" tube patterns in the clipart
collection. I may even be responsible for that, as I sent them a suggestion
(not really expecting to be taken seriously) that they add tube patterns to
their standard component symbols library.

Quite apart from that, it's a terrific package for schematics, and I draw
everything that I draw in it. I have a "standard" 2-stage tube audio amp
for receivers in Visio format that anyone can have if they want it.

Just let me know.

Well, mebbee there will be some interest, and then I will just HAVE to
ease up on the gemittencomputerpointingetypinstypeinterface and ease back
into some reality --- like a straight shootin' iron or gebugginspitzen
device.....(:+}}.....

Mebee a few other globuggers will be around tonight. I will fire up
Big Bertha on 1802R5 at 0300Z (10pm EST) for an hour or so. Hope a few
are around......

Hi Jeff, and welcome to the list. I can't say I've ever heard of the
Visio product, unless it was by another name. I know there has been
interest in standardizing on a schematic format, but no decisions (or
at least nobody told me!). Can you tell us a little about the product
like cost, ease of use, rough idea of data file sizes, and which
machines it runs on? Thanks, and welcome again.

Mike, KK6GM

Does anyone have information about pin connections and/or data for PA
tube CV1883 ? I bought the tube from a hamfest couple of years ago but
hasn't got no data. In the base of the tube there are also texts:
"Made in England, STC, 4H/182E". It has filament of abt 6,3V (tried it).

Any information would be appreciated (pin connections, voltages, source
for data etc.). From the amount of pins I could figure out that it's
either triode or tetrode.

I looked at the Visio product ("Visio Home") that came in the software bundle with
our recent computer purchase, and it has nothing like schematic
symbols. I would be curious to see if I could read/edit a file you
created with yours, though. If you could zip/encode it I'd like to take
a look, but don't post the attachment/encoded file to the list, mail
direct.

p.s. Still looking for info on a 4B31 tube?

TO Don Reaves-- (via the list)

I tried mailing you the Visio tube amp file, but the address you state in
your signature came back as undeliverable. Any clues?
