Dr's Jim Simon and Jules Janick, web address: www.hort.purdue.edu/newcrop
at Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN, have started a campus program
called Center for New Crops and Plant Products. You can contact them for
information regarding their success with their work in sustainable
agriculture. I believe you can find information regarding the sustainable
ag at Purdue through SARE, also. Their going international with aromatic
plants/herbs/essential oil production, also.

Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO is also a viable contact.
They have quite a few ag research projects they're doing.
www.colostate.edu/Depts/AgSci They also have a page which lists
internships available across the state of CO and additional states.

Blessings,
Ava
