From BROERSMA@bcrska.agr.caWed Jan 4 13:32:10 1995 Date: 04 Jan 1995 11:45:44 -0500 (EST) From: Klaas Broersma To: forage-mg@oes.orst.edu Subject: Maturity rating for selected grass varieties I grown 3 varieties of each of 3 grass species at Prince George and would like to determine if I have the right maturity rating for the varieties within each of the species for the purpose of comparing maturities within each species. I do have some from Agriculture Canada Food and Inspection Branch when the varieties were registered. But most registrations do not give a maturity rating as to whether it si early, medium or late. If anyone could help clarify this problem it would be very much appreciated. Grass utlized and my rating from limited information avialable. Orchard grass Napier - early Kay - medium Mobite -late Tall fescue Maximize - early Festorina - medium Courtenay - late Timothy Toro - early Climax - medium Farol - late These are the tentative maturity ratings I gave them from information I have.
