The reinforcing sleeve spans the connections between the wooden handle and the metal tool, making the handle virtually unbreakable. Wood screws, clamps or other fasteners are not required. Slipping the sleeve over the handle makes it ready for use. THE SHOVEL SAVER is made in the USA of 100% top grade virgin polymerized vinyl, with 20 years ultra violet inhibiter protection. I had a garden last year and the tomatoes went nuts! Too many to count. However, my green peppers, eggplants, winter squash and potatoes really didn't amount to much. I'm going to try all but the potatoes again. I'm wondering if I overwatered these plants last year? My husband keeps telling me I need to water every day, but I really think I overwatered. Of course, the tomatoes were in the same garden and did extremely well. I started all my plants (except potatoes) indoors from seed, and plan to do so again this year. I hope to have tomatoes (not so many), green/yellow peppers, zucchini, yellow squash, winter squash, onions, spaghetti squash. Any pointers that you could pass along would surely be appreciated. I live in Zone 5 (the Kansas City area) and we've had a pretty mild winter so far, only 2" of snow to date. I use grass clippings/leaves to mulch around the base of my plants, had a problem with slugs last summer. Also I am going to try growing strawberries from seed, starting in just a couple of weeks. Again, any advice, suggestions, hints, etc. would be appreciated. Thank you. --- QuickBBS 2.80 Ovr (Zeta-1) * Origin: * The H.O.M.E. Its nice to talk to someone who lives where it is about 60 degrees Celsius warmer. How is summer treating you. We do not have irrigation here. Our average annual precipitation is less than 50 cm (20 inches) which includes both rain and snow. Our average annual potential evapotranspiration is less than 60cm (24 inches). The semi arid of the Australian interior would be close to our precipitation level. Queensland is a large area, do you live near the Great Baarrier Reef area? Thanks for the reply to my query. I hope the additional information will let you make another reply. Cheers --- Maximus 2.01wb * Origin: Vermilion Lighthouse, Vermilion, AB (1:3413/107) @PATH: 3413/107 1000 3615/50 3641/1 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- (1012) Wed 4 Jan 95 20:15 By: Sheryl Moore To: Don Charron Re: disk ---------------------------------------------------------------------- @MSGID: 1:147/180@fidonet.org 121504f8 don..got your(UNFORMATTED)disk today..hope you use ibm.filled it full as a tick and will get it back soon as i get the postage extra.(day or so). hope these are helpful ideas and info for you. --- FidoPCB v1.5 beta-'j' * Origin: MEDICUS BBS in Edmond, OK 405-478-8250 (1:147/180) @PATH: 147/180 20 3615/50 3641/1 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- (1078) Thu 5 Jan 95 5:43 By: Paul Beach To: Helen Fleischer Re: high low tech ---------------------------------------------------------------------- @MSGID: 1:233/11@fidonet.org 07f88844 HF> So, if you have a worm bin, or any other uses for shredded newspaper, HF> now you have another reason to haunt yard sales for old pasta machines.
