Help/opinion/information needed.

I'm an ecology graduate from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, and
am formulating a research proposal concerning the SUSTAINABLE
UTILIZATION OF TERMITES AS A SOURCE OF NUTRIENTS IN SHIFTING CULTIVATION
SYSTEMS IN TROPICAL SOUTH AMERICA. Any info. on the following areas
would be most useful:

1. New world/Old world examples of termite usage in farming systems.
2. Publications (title, author, journal) on neotropical termite ecology.
3. Research fellows interested in termite research.
4. Neotropical termite guides (if any)!!!???!!!
5. Methods for estimating the population size of a termite colony.
6. Nutrient value of a typical termite!!

Information regarding the above and/or related topics will be most
appreciated and personally acknowledged.

Och ay de noo!!
