WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT:
o PROBE is the official newsletter of the USDA Plant Genome
Research Program. The newsletter covers developments in the
Plant Genome Databases, the USDA Plant Genome Competitive
Grants, useful developments in technology and methodology,
and more. Options include downloading separate articles or
     downloading the entire issue.

o CALENDAR OF EVENTS updated monthly highlighting meetings,
conferences, workshops, etc. of interest to geneticists and
     biotechnologists.

o PLANT DNA LIBRARY FILES is a growing database with records
from more than 30 plant species. Information has been
gathered on clone size, probes, DNA and RNA preparation
methods, library screening methods, and much more. This
database is useful for scientists, educators, and the
     business community.

o PLANT GENOME MAPPING PROJECTS these files contain records of
projects funded in the areas of gene isolation and mapping.
The records are important to scientists looking for
collaborations, research resources, and for writing grant
     proposals.
