I started tomatoes in 2X2 rockwool cubes. After two days they
germinated and I have to start transplanting. I was going to put them
into 4X4 cubes, but, do to cost am seeking other alternatives. Should I
go straight to slabs? I don't want to transplant again. Or should I go
to the 4X4s and put them on slabs. Any info. is appreciated. As well
as, any results you have had in growing this way. Thanks in advance.

In response to A.J. Travis's response I add:

I have decided to drop the 2X2s into 4X4s- they already have wholes in
them to accomadate. I will probably then go to slabs, but am uncertain
at this time. I would much rather grow aeroponically or use the NFT
technique because no medium is required. Can you tell me more about the
NFT process. It's prices, etc. I am a practicer of rockwool and grow
rocks, but, am seeking alternatives due to problems with disposal of
rockwool and the great expense. I have seen some tube-like Aeroponic modules,
for a high price, and might be interested in investing in those. They
are made by General Hydroponics in Corte Madera, California. They call
them the AeroFlo II systems and run for $499.00 (w/ 24 growing sites)
and $699.00 (w/ 40 growing sites). Any information about these systems
is extremely appreciated. I am looking for info. from Ein Gedi, Israel,
where this system was developed. Thanks in advance.
