Except for the extremely occasional sale of a Gardener's Tea Bag or $50 web page design we do this entirely without compensation. So, you could send a small donation or you could solve all the world's problems and send $32 billion (check payable) to:

Here's what one of the "big kids" (gardening.com) has to say about us:This quaint little site can't hope to compete with the big kids of the organic gardening online world, but it does have a certain charm. Particularly amusing are the author's pest fighting war stories. He takes a pleasure in vanquishing them with a variety of organic methods such as burning, drowning, trapping, etc. that is almost sadistic. But more so than immersing them in toxic chemicals? Probably not.Compete? I thought we were all in this together. . . "almost sadistic"? Nothing almost about it. I take extreme pleasure in killing those pests without the use of chemicals! Thanks to the folks at gardening, as I am honored to make their list (they're very picky and their site shows it). |

This is all my intellectual property, yada yada, looks best with Internet Explorer. I get reports of problems with some pages from users of the new Netscape. The link to each is on the index.

Top to bottom: last year's artichoke, with a lizard I didn't notice at the time (or maybe it's the ghost of our long dead pet); the west side terraced, back filled with compost, and voilla! raised beds; cherry blossoms in last year's Easter snow. Plenty more pictures throughout, especially here. |
