The ASN command assigns the logical device name LL: to a physical device PP:. Files, and terminal I/O may be directed to a logical device instead of a physical device. TERM is a qualifier for LOGIN. 3 TERM Appending the keywords /LOGIN/TERM=ttnn: to an assign command causes that command to apply to the login assignments for terminal ttnn:. The assignments for that terminal can be created, displayed, or deleted. 2 TERM Appending a /TERM=ttnn: keyword to an assign command causes that command to apply to the local assignments for the terminal ttnn:. The user's local assignments on that terminal may be created, deleted, or displayed.
