The former Chief of Special Services was very pleased to hear of his promotion, and told the Commander-In-Chief he will do his best as one of Star Fleets' upper echelon. -------------------------------------------------------------- X VERSION NEARING COMPLETION The Grand Admiral has informed this news that in approximately three weeks testing will begin on the X version of this program. The new version is expected to be operational by February. Soon, Star Fleet officers will command the most advanced and powerful ships in Federation history. Unfortun- ately, the Klingons will have received a new class of ships also. Some new capabilities include shuttlecraft, landing parties, and encounters with other alien life forms (other than Klingon or Romulan). Officers will enter a universe filled with planets, colonies, and an occassional black hole. -------------------------------------------------------------- THAT'S INCREDIBLE The Grand Admiral cannot believe it.... Vice Admiral Horatio is in a coma.... and Chief of Staff Boozer is estatic. Why??? Because Commodore (now Rear Admiral) Marvel delivered 342 prisoners to Star Fleet during mission #(2)849. Three hundred and forty two prisoners! Even John Davidson XXII cannot believe it! Rear Admiral Marvel has added a new chapter to the Guiness Book of Universal Records. For his efforts Marvel received a level four award. Good work! -------------------------------------------------------------- ADMIRAL ON TEMPORARY DUTY The Grand Admiral recently announced that Rear Admiral Marvel is on temporary duty as Chief of P.O.W. Camp Construction. Due to his intimate knowledge of Klingon activities as prisoners, Marvel has been assigned to head the construction of 4,687 new P.O.W. camps throughout the Federation. With Marvel's proficency in handling prisoners, Grand Admiral Sorensen expects Rear Admiral Marvel to have the job finished in a matter of weeks. -------------------------------------------------------------- AWARDS Star Fleet would like to congratulate the following officers on their awards: Level 4 - Rear Admiral Hopkins, Commodore Scott (2), and Captain Superman; Level 5 - Commodore (now Rear Admiral) Marvel; Level 6 - Commodore (now Rear Admiral) Marvel. Way to go team! -------------------------------------------------------------- DIAMONDS! Rear Admiral Marvel has earned Diamonds to his Hero of the Federation Gold Star with Meteors. This high honor was awarded due to his outstanding abilities demonstrated in mission #(3)124 during which he captured nine enemy vessels and took 296 prisoners. Congratulations! -------------------------------------------------------------- THE WAR IS ENDING? Star Fleet Intelligence Reports indicate the war with the Klingons has slacked off after their full scale attempt to overpower the Federation this summer. Some reports state the Klingons are regrouping and building larger and more sophisticated warships. Fortunately, this rebuilding is being countered by construction of the Star Fleet Constitution Class II starship, scheduled to be ready for active duty early next year. -------------------------------------------------------------- ILLEGAL COURT MARTIALS Have you been Court Martialed lately? Been spending time locked up in solitary confinement on the planet of beautiful women? Well, restitution is on the way. Recently a program data file was not cleaned out, causing some officers to be unjustifiably court martialed by Fleet Operations. However, the file has been cleaned so the problem has hopefully gone away. If you are falsely accused by Fleet Operations, please inform SFHQ via mail and an investigation will be initiated to settle the mixup. If you are not falsely accused and sentenced - TOUGH! -------------------------------------------------------------- THOLIAN INTELLIGENCE REPORT Captain Neil Habrial of the Tholian Research Branch, Intelligence Department, recently submitted a report to Admiral Ciriaco, Chief of Intelligence, Star Fleet Command, concerning Tholian military capability. The report includes a description of three types of Tholian spacecraft that have been identified and a summary of their weapons and tactics. Captain Habrial is to be commended on his excellent work in obtaining the infor- mation contained in his report. -------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------- ** OLD BUT IMPORTANT NEWS ** -------------------------------------------------------------- THE FOLLOWING PAGE CONTAINS IMPORTANT ARTICLES FROM PREVIOUS ISSUES ON: 1.
