Complications are due to fact, that it's practically impossible officially organize DECUS-RSX-SIG in Czechoslovakia (but we never finish trying it). So we are now starting the usage of Your KMS-RSX Enhancement Kit, but, unfortunatelly, without Your latest improvements, and with complicated merging of our enhancements (we are using) into Your Kit. I feel now, that a part of my work may be interesting also for the other RSX11M users. However, major of my work applies to release 3.2 of RSX11M, and I can't determine it's validity for release 4.0. I also can't take a part at DECUS symposium (neither in Europe, nor US). Since I use great ammount of Your software, I decided to send the only copy of my work to You. .LIT Please, be so kind and if You feel, that anything of my work may be interesting for the others, pass it to The MULTITASKER Editor Ralf Stamerjohn. .END LITERAL You also asked for somebody, who is working on BATCH or Virtual terminal driver for RSX11M. I have just finished basic work on multi-unit VT: driver. This is buffered (to reduce context -switching), variable load-size driver with conditionally assembled support for user task IO.RLB, IO.WLB and IO.RPR. Driver may be handled by non-privileged task, but the handler -task interface is COT... compatible, to allow usage of one VT unit instead of CODRV (but I don't use CODRV buffering). Driver body size is approx. 1kW, minimum buffer required is for longest block used, but optimum will be higher. This driver should be the base for SPAWN driven PSEUDO and (later) FULL BATCH for RSX11M. I hope that fully tested driver will be available during January 82. I also work on BATCH tasks priority control, but this work is in very early stage. .LIT Please, excuse my wrong english Yours sincerely Ing.Martin Brunecky Drobneho 28a 60000 BRNO Czechoslovakia
