You can inhibit use of your terminal when you need to leave it unattended by typing: BLP BLP will ask you for a 1 character escape code. This is the only character BLP will later accept to exit. After you have typed the carriage return, BLP will clear your screen and print a message that your "terminal is not functioning". From this point on, BLP will accept no input except that special escape character. When it receives that special escape code, BLP will return control of your terminal to you, and exit. NOTE - Be cautious about what escape code you use. Some very special control and escape sequences may not give you what you expect. If you can not duplicate the first character entered when you want to exit BLP; you will be stuck!
