DISMOUNT[/qualifier[s]] ddnn: [volumelabel] /PUBLIC /SAVE /[NO]UNLOAD /TERMINAL:ddnn: /ALL The DISMOUNT command dismounts a mounted Files-11 volume or a mounted foreign volume. The volumelabel is optional, but if it is specified, it is checked against the label of the volume. 2 DEVICE #PUBLIC 2 PUBLIC DISMOUNT/PUBLIC ddnn: [volumelabel] The /PUBLIC qualifier causes all users to be dismounted from a volume. Only a privileged user can use the /PUBLIC qualifier. 2 NOUNLOAD #UNLOAD 2 SAVE DISMOUNT/SAVE ddnn: [volumelabel] The /SAVE qualifier specifies that the volume is to remain spinning in the drive, but can be accessed for either read or write by privileged tasks. Only a privileged user can use the /SAVE qualifier. 2 UNLOAD DISMOUNT/UNLOAD ddnn: [volumelabel] DISMOUNT/NOUNLOAD ddnn: [volumelabel] The /UNLOAD qualifier specifies that the disk is to be spun down after the dismount. This is the default for mounted Files-11 volumes. The /NOUNLOAD qualifier specifies that the disk is to remain spinning after the dismount. This is the default for mounted foreign volumes. 2 TERMINAL DISMOUNT/TERMINAL:ttnn: ddnn: [volumelabel] The /TERMINAL qualifier allows you to dismount a volume from another terminal.
