SPEED is an idle loop task that is useful in measuring how busy the CPU is over a period of time. SPEED runs at the lowest system priority, so that it only gains access to the CPU when it would otherwise be idle. Once per second, SPEED prints out in histogram format what percentage of the time it had access to the CPU for that second. Note that in periods of extreme CPU usage, SPEED might not even gain access to the CPU in order to print its results. To use SPEED, type: RUN $SPEED SPEED can be terminated anytime by typing any character on the keyboard.
