1 UFD The USER FILE DIRECTORY command creates a User File Directory on a Files-11 volume and enters its name into the Master File Directory (MFD). Before creating a UFD, you must first initialize and mount (INI and MOU) the volume. The general form of the UFD command is: UFD ddnn:[g,m][/keyword(s)] ddnn: Device unit containing the volume on which the UFD being created will reside. Default: none. [g,m] The UIC for the UFD. The UIC establishes the owner of the UFD. The variables g and m represent group and member numbers, respectively, and can be in the range 1 through 377(8). Default: none. /keywords For information on the keywords, type AID UFD KEYWORDS. 2 KEYWORDS /ALLOC=n Specifies the number of directory entries for which space in the UFD is to be allocated. The specified number is rounded up to the next multiple of 32(10). Default: 32(10). /PRO=[system,group,owner,world] Establishes access rights for the directory file. Access codes consist of four 4-code groups in the access rights word, as follows: R - Read, W - Write, E - Extend, D - Delete In each instance, the absence of the code means that the user class is denied the access right.
