1 GREP GREP finds all lines in specified files which do/do not contain a given string. $ GREP [[/] =] /SE:[/] Listing file, default TI: if there is no '=' sign, else LP.LST. Input file specification, including wildcards. Default .TXT. ASCII match string. If lower-case letters , spaces, tabs, '=', '/', etc. are required, it must be enclosed in quotes. 2 SWITCHES (defaults in [..]):- /WI:char Specifies a "wild character", matching any single character. char is its octal ASCII code, e.g. /WI:45 = '%'. [ /-WI:45 ] /SE:string Lists those lines which DO contain string. [ /-SE:"" /NE:string Lists those which DO NOT contain string. =/NE:"" ] /MC Matches on alphabetic case. /-MC ignores case. [ /MC ] /LA Latches current switches and filetype for next line. [ /-LA ] /LN Lists line numbers. [ /LN ] /FI Lists file names before each file. [ /FI ] /CMD Lists command line. Default /CMD unless O/P to TI:. /CO:lo:hi Examine only columns lo-hi of each line. [ /CO:1:132 ] /LI:lo:hi Examine only lines lo-hi of each file. [ /LI:1:infinity ] /FL:char Print whole file, (non-)matches flagged by char [ /-FL:52 (*)] /SP Spool output to printer. [ /SP ] /AP Append output to existing file.
