A number of IND command procedures have been developed in the last year at the Ames Laboratory. We have attempted to put them in order so the general public can make use of them. We found serious need for them and tend to believe that others out there have similar needs. With the help of a talented programmer name John Beyer who worked for the Lab last summer as a trainee, we began by generating F77.Ind (which is released in F77IND.DSK). This formed the template which led to more sophistication in our FLECS.IND command procedure which helps with the development of structured Fortran. Ed over a longer period of time generated BAKALL.IND (which is released in BAKALL.DSK) to help automate our weekly backup process. And in the same spirit as the F77 procedure, Ed generated RUNOFF.IND to help with Bonner Lab's Runoff. The Runoff.Ind command file has been included here although it is very new and not as well documented. As with the other command files, online HELP is available and is sufficient to learn how to use it. It will expect Sy:Runoff.BL and Sy:DISPLA.IND to exist. Runoff.Ind is big because it has im- bedded in it the definitions for the LN03 and the VT100 escape sequences. You may want to add your particular printer sup- port. Displa.Ind is a simple way that we get around the non-existence of the Display command on RT-11 so we can write command procedures that work on both RT and TSX. One of the nice aspects of the way these procedures work, is that they do not require that you SET KMON IND. In fact, as documented you will still be able to have SET KMON NOIND in effect at all times, yet take advantage of IND when needed.
