EDS and EDS both create ED?.DEF on exit to hold the default file name on next use of the editor. Each editor may be restarted by the sequence MI. If the file SET.EDS exists in your account, its contents are used to set up the default margin and justification settings. To set the left margin use 'llUW' where 'll' is the column value for the left margin; in a similar manner 'rrUE' will set the right margin. EDS will load USER.TEC into register Y for use by the user, if it exists in the users' account. It is activated by the use of <^=>. The value of Q5 may be used as an argument. No responsibility is taken for problems that occur as a result of not having sufficient memory, or failure of the user's macro to save and restore registers used. EDV will not take negative arguments, but EDS will. Please examine the use of a zero argment with all keys - some have useful subfunctions. In particular the deletion keys will prompt with a warning buzz that requires confirmation with to execute the global deletes (EDS). EDV is a subset of EDS. HELP displayed when using <^?> for EDS.
