    Hi Hindra et all....

Yes, they are definitly still publishing and doing better than ever.
The magazine is a great resource. As for not gewtting an answer, well,
you will (give Kathleen my regards...Don).

Home Power magazine has been published "off-the-grid" as it were,
for these past six years. The Perez clan lives about 30 miles from
Hornbrook CA about 8 miles down a dirt road. Besides there being no power
there is also no telephone service. The folks at Home Power use a private
radio telephone setup from Carlson Communications in Redway CA.
Unfortunatly it only allows one line. In order to deal with the volume of
orders they get these days they employ a friend (Kathleen) who, while
also living off the grid, has normal phone service. She handles phone
subscriptions and back issue sales as well as Visa/MC orders for the
magazine. Being a one person office has it's downside since if Kathleen
is dropping off the kids, runs to town for groceries, etc. no one will
answer.
This is a really hectic week for the Home Power folks who are putting
up a booth at SEER, putting on workshops, etc. They are also finishing up
the next issue (coming out in August) and sending it off to the printers.
I'm sure you'll reach them but with all the stuff currenetly going on it
might take a day or so. Be patient, you'll be well rewarded for it. They
put out a great publication.
      DCK
