Our guide in particular will locate, list, and describe archives and repositories that have made their collections, finding aids, catalogues, etc. available via the network. (For example the Manuscripts and Archives Repositories List through the Johns Hopkins gopher , the Library of Congress listings of the Soviet Archives, and the Wittgenstein Archives at the University of Bergen). We will be doing extensive searching until December at which time, we expect to make the guide available. The format of the guide will be similar to those currently available on the University of Michigan Clearinghouse (available through the University of Minnesota gopher, under the University of Michigan). We are looking for any input or suggestions about information of this sort on the internet. If you know of any databases, people, groups, on-line archives, or other resources relevant to this project, we would like to hear about them. Please reply to: clearinghouse.project@umich.edu.
