USAMHI Burials - WWII RefBranch dv Sep 89 NOTE: U.S "DISHONORED" DEAD According to p. 41 of "The Execution of Eddie Slovik," After the Battle (No 32, 1981), the U.S. Army executed 96 soldiers in the ETO for crimes. Originally buried individually near the site of their executions, the remains were all re-buried (ca 1949) in a special "dishonored" plot adjacent to but outside the U.S. WWI cemetery at Oise-Aisne, France. Public visitation to this plot is not generally encouraged.
