BSO> To: "WELSH-L@IRLEARN.UCD.IE" @ VBORMC @ MRGATE Annwyl Dorothy, I don't know what level you are starting from but I'm currently learning to speak Welsh. Early on, I found one set of cassettes particularly good. The course is called "ABC of Welsh". It's based on an ongoing scheme run by BBC Radio Wales called "catch-phrase". The tapes have a type of "fly-on-the-wall" style where someone is being taught spoken Welsh by several different people. It starts with the alphabet and some of the pronunciations, and works its way up from there. It has some books to go with it. As I said, it's aimed at spoken Welsh, and covers mainly South Wales terminology (which suits me fine), although North Wales versions are mentioned wherever appropriate. I don't know the current cost, but if you want I'll be happy to find out, and could obtain it for you and send it over if required. Michael Paddick Morgannwg Ganol, De Cymru. Rydw I wedi bod yn dysgu'r Gymraeg ers tua tair mlynedd. Rydw I'n gobeithio i gael cyfle i ymarfer fy Ngymraeg ysgrifenol trwy'r rhestr "WELSH-L". Tybed, oes unrhywun ar y rhestr sy'n fodlon i ddarllen "E-mail" (llythyrau electronic?) ohonof fi, ac yn cywiro fy ngamgymeriadau (gormod ohonyn nhw)? Hwyl... Meic.Pee.
