I don't think that Aber offers a general correspondance course as such - they offer an external degree through the medium of Welsh which includes a first year option in 'Defnyddio'r Gymraeg' for second language speakers, but it isn't really a basic course: I'm just starting the degree after four years of learning, and it looks like it will be fairly heavy going. Your best bet is probably Prifysgol Morgannwg - The University of Glamorgan (Politechnig Cymru as was). They offer correspondance courses at all levels, including tapes etc, all based on the 'Catchphrase' BBC programs. Their address is Prifysgol Morgannwg, Trefforest, Pontypridd, Morgannwg Ganol, Cymru/Wales. Tel: 0443-480480. The person to contact is Anne England. Pob lwc Nigel (ncallaghan@cix.compulink.co.uk)
