I am a student at Syracuse University. I have been attempting to learn the Welsh language for the past few years now. Unfortunately, I've come to the conclusion that I need to learn/converse with a native speaker to better comprehend the language. I also need discipline which I cannot provide for myself. I will continue to be in the Syracuse (Onondaga County, Central NYS) area this summer from May to early August and thereafter for the following academic year. I am looking for someone to help me in the area on a volunteer basis or at a very nominal fee. I am a student and will be working quite a bit, so this being the reason for my incapability to pay a normal tutor base fee. I am not even sure if there are any Welsh speakers in the area at all. I am new to the city and don't know all the ins and outs as of yet. I would appreciate it if there is any way for any of you to check your connections and see. I hope to pass on the language to some family members and future generations; so you would be providing me with a great service. I appreciate any information or advice on how to find these mystery speakers of Cymraegd. Thanks again.
