Hi! I'm rather new on this list and as I've only got a reading knowledge of Modern Welsh, more or less, I'm unfortunately forced to write this message in English. Just at the moment I've got this small question: Can anybody tell me whether the Welsh first name "Gwenan" is a man's or a woman's name? I couldn't find it anywhere. Is it still in use? And, by the way, could anybody translate that question into Welsh? I wondered about those various forms of the verb "bod" to be used in this sentence and found myself at a loss. Could it possibly be: Mae rhywun yn gallu dweud i mi pa un ai enw gw^r ai enw gwraig yw'r enw bedydd Cymraeg "Gwenan". Could this be correct, and why (or why not)?
