I am about to post Lesson 5 to this list, but I'd like to take a moment to get a little feedback from those who are using the course. Please respond directly to me at . So far, I see the following benefits to the course: * It stimulates discussion on the list. * It helps disabuse me of all my incorrect notions about the language. What I'm not sure is whether anyone is actually learning Welsh from it. If you read the lessons regularly, even if you are not using the to learn Welsh, please respond to the following questionnaire. 1. What was your level of proficiency prior to the lessons? (1 = native speaker; 5 = dim gair (not a word)) 2. Do you find the organization useful? (1 = useful; 5 = scatterbrained) 3. Is the level of presentation appropriate for you? (1 = too detailed; 3 = just right; 5 = too simple) 4. Do you find that my sense of humor adds interest to or detracts from the lessons? (1 = adds interest; 5 = detracts) 5. I have reorganized in Lesson 5 to put all the notes for the terminally curious (or terminally pedantic...) at the end in the form of footnotes, so that they hopefully will not distract the beginning student. After sampling the reorganization, which of the following do you feel is best: a. Keep the notes in with the text, since going to the bottom to read the footnotes is distracting. b. Keep the notes as footnotes, since having them with the text is distracting. c. Get rid of the notes completely, since they are distracting. d. Other ________ 6. Have you had a chance to check out the version of the course that is on the Web? Thanks for your feedback to help me serve you better! --Mark
