Re Llandudno and Pen Gogarth. Llandudno is where my father grew up and where I have a house. Your respondent mentions a 'cell type chapel'. I'm not sure what was meant, but basically it's a small church that still functions. It is surrounded by a large graveyard where some members of my family are buried. The contributor mentions that there is now a one-way road around the Great Orme. I'm 52 years old and it's been there as long as I can remember. It was closed by landslips though, for a while, but it was reopened this summer. There are remains of an Abbey, the Gogarth Abbey, where this road, the 'Marine Drive', meets the West Shore. There is a hotel here, previously known as Pen Morfa, which was the home of Dean Liddell, whose daughter was the original Alice (in Wonderland). Instead of using the 'Marine Drive', many summer visitors take the cable car and walk down to St Tudno's church. One last thing - Ynys Seiriol is supposed to be the 'Puffin Island' in Enid Blyton's 'Five go to Puffin Island' fame, if that is the right word. John Williams, Saudi Arabia
