The WELSH-L managers have mentioned broadening the scope of this bulletin board to permit discussions in and about Breton and Cornish. Learning materials for these languages are even less accessible in the U.S. than those for Welsh. I, for one, would be delighted to see elementary lessons for them appear here. (The fact that I'm of Cornish rather than Welsh ancestry has nothing to do with it....) This board is a fascinating place for us learners. The only Welsh I've ever heard has been on tape. I've never met a native speaker of any Celtic language (and I wonder how many Americans have, on these shores). It's such a pleasure to see active communication in these languages -- I find I learn something from the messages that flow through here even when I can't fully decipher them. David Quick
