yes, there is a Welsh separatist movement, although very small. Most right thinking individuals these days would acknowledge that Wales could not stand as a separate state. Just look at Ireland, which is only just keeping its head above the water (financially speaking). At least Scotland has the oil , although the question as to whether England would allow Scotland to keep the oilfields is very debatable. As far as I know Plaid Cymru are in favour of devolved government rather than total separation, which is an approach that I personally favour. The only question is where would the devolved government be situated. Being from North Wales I personally favour Carenarfon.
