>... >Some of the grammar was newly created as well, not to mention the >pronunciation. There are very few manuscripts from Middle and Late >Cornish, so the revivors HAD to reinvent the language. > Donna White Wrong, Donna. Two friends of mine, Jan and Richard Gendall, have set up a tiny publishing company. They find no shortage of Middle, Late Cornish material, and had no trouble at all giving me with plenty of modern-day conversational material to put into my book. Friends who favour the other two spelling systems also gave generously of their time and patience. For more info, I (modestly) recommend to you the refs in back of my book, whose title is _Da Mihi Manum_. It is on sale in Cornwall in Browser's Bookshop, Falmouth. The manager there is John Floyd (his telephone no. is 326 313 464). Browser's is a wonderful shop, a positive Aladdin's cave of Cornish books, of both cheap & cheerful new volumes and very pricey antiquarian treasures. mg MGUNN@IRLEARN.UCD.IE
