Its aim was and still is the teaching of the Breton language by the means of Breton only. This unique quality makes it quite different from other organisations and very efficient for someone accepting this much demanding rule. Hence the necessity of having some knowledge of the language to be able to understand an everyday life conversation. 12 lessons in Per Denez or 20 in R. Hemon's handbook can give you an idea of the level required. Someone who wouldn't have this level would be in great difficulty and wouldn't gain profit from the course. There are as much as 6 levels with 6 to 16 students in each class. Two teachers are alternatively in charge of one level.Courses last from at 9 A.M to 12 with a coffee break at 10.30 then start again at 2 P.M and finish at 5 .Meals are taken in common in a canteen and accomodation is provided in dormitories or rooms (book in advance). There's also a camping site near by.Many activities are organized including walks, concerts, evenings, conferences, visits etc...all in Breton of course. The summer camp will be held in the "Joliot Curie" state school in Skaer (not far from Kemper). The first week starts on Sunday 17th July at 8 P.M. for the evening meal and finish on Saturday 23rd July in the afternoon. The second week starts from Sunday 24th July at 4 P.M to Saturday 30 July in the afternoon. You can attend any week or both. The price are kept as low as possible that is 1100 FF a week (half of it payable in advance when sending your application form ), 900 FF for students or unemployed people.. What to bring with you? Sleeping bag, or blanket and sheet, books and writing pad, music instruments etc...How to get there? The train will take you as far as Rosporden. There are bus services to Skaer.
