There is the possibility of a new cable channel here in the US (well, for now probably just the Boston area) called Celtic Vision, The Irish Channel (tm). I talked with some representatives at the huge Boston Irish Cultural Centre's Feis. They'll be mostly carrying RTE1, but she did seem to be interested in carrying some of Teilifi/s na Gaeilge and perhaps even S4C! Now wouldn't that be something! There was one line, however, that I do remember which said to the effect that Wales is of course English speaking. There was no mention at all of the Welsh language. It struck me as being equivalent to saying, "yes, we're civilized, we speak English here too." There needs to be some definite changes in the attitudes of those folks promoting Welsh Industry!
