In Welsh croeso can be used to say "Welcome to" or "Your Welcome". Gwynedd is one of the counties of Wales, not the Welsh for North Wales. North Wales is generally taken to mean the counties of Gwynedd (North West) and Clwyd (North East). Gwwynedd and Clwyd were thrown together from a nummber of older shires in 1974. There is no English equivalent to Gwynedd, so all the English speakers who live there have to learn a minimum of Welsh, especially the "dd" pronounciation.
