(1) 48 years ago I spoke the Welsh of the Wrexham area. Does anyone know of any tapes etc in that dialect, and where I could purchase them. (I researched this in London a few years ago and was told that one would have to be made, at a cost of UKL200. Ouch!) (2) Do you linguists out there know whether the tendency of Spanish, Portuguese and French to add an initial e- (escuela, escola, e'cole) to Latin words beginning in sc- is an inheritance from the Celtic languages pre-existing in thos areas? Are there writings on this and other inheritances from Celtic? (3) Does the Celtic Galician language still exist? (4) Is there a list for Manx and things Manx? I have a gatekeeper between me and the net and can't easily see what's out there. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ | John L. Berry Pecten International Co.
