November 5, 1994: Scott Simon talked with the war historian: "A Bundle from Britain" by Alistair Horne, published by St. Martin's Press: The memoirs of the author's war experience -- being sent to the United States to avoid the blitz and returning to the UK as a soldier. November 5, 1994: Jacki Lyden spoke with the photographer: "Rodeo" by Louise Serpa, published by the Aperture Foundation: A collection of rodeo photographs from the last 30 years. November 8, 1994: Bob Edwards talked with the author: "Winchell: Gossip, Power and the Culture of Celebrity" by Neil Gabler, published by Knopf. Books profiled on Fresh Air with host Terry Gross: November 3, 1994: "In Pharaoh's Army: Memories of the Lost War" by Tobias Wolff, published by Knopf: A memoir of Vietnam. Wolff also wrote "This Boy's Life" published in paperback by HarperCollins. "The Bird Artist" by Howard Norman, published by Farrar, Straus, & Giroux: A novel set in Newfoundland in 1911. Norman also wrote the short story collection "The Northern Lights" published by Pocket Books. November 4, 1994: "Third and Indiana" by Steve Lopez, published by Viking: A novel about life in Philadelphia's badlands. November 7, 1994: "Strange Justice: The Selling of Clarence Thomas" by Jane Mayer and Jill Abramson, published by Houghton Mifflin. November 9, 1994: "On the Edge: The Clinton Presidency" by Elizabeth Drew, published by Simon & Schuster.
