There is another way (low cost) to get rid of these complex sugars.
Put the beans in a pot with lots of water, bring to a boil and boil for 1-2
minutes.  Turn off the heat, and let sit for 1 hour.  Pour off the water,
rinse the beans and replace the water.  Now, put in any other items for the
recipe and cook as normal.

The short heating and soaking will devolve the complex sugars and these are
discarded.  Works as well as the Beano (reduces the flatulence about
80-90%).
