----------------------- NURSING INFORMATICS '94 Fifth International Conference on Nursing Use of Computers and Information Science --------------------------------------------------------- San Antonio Convention Center, June 19-22, 1994 San Antonio, Texas, USA "Nursing in A Technological Era" The congress will be offered under the auspices of the Nursing Informatics Working Group 8 of the International Medical Informatics Association (IMIA) and is cosponsored by the Council for Nursing Informatics of the National League for Nursing (NLN) and the Council for Computer Applications in Nursing of the American Nursing Association (ANA), and is endorsed by the Professional Specialty Group of the American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA). Previous conferences have been held in London, Calgary, Dublin and Melbourne. The conference provides an educational and research forum for the exchange of information about the uses of technology in health care and nursing. Innovations related to the use of technology and information in health care with an emphasis on nursing applications are the focus of paper and poster presentations. A preconference program offer informative presentations on the state of the art on selected informatics topics. The conference program will have invited presentations by internationally known informatics speakers and competitively reviewed papers, posters and panel presentations. The conference will have keynote addresses, multiple concurrent paper sessions, special symposia and panels, poster presentations, demonstrations and vendor exhibits.
